Scene7 provides this and more functionality as a service, (not for a
0-budget, but great for ideas), their demos are listed here:

I've used them for a client, the API is pretty easy, but the overall quality
has more to do with the source images than the implementation.

The initial concept and a lot of the richer AJAX functionality got lost in
the client's requirements, and the site is incredibly slow for the same
reasons, but you can see how it ended up here:
