You already managed to find a solution, but I'd still like to offer you my
two cents ;-). I think the term that you are looking for is soundscapes. If
you google soundscapes people
talking,<http://www.google.com/search?q=soundscape+people+talking>you'd
find something like this:

They're not free though, but at $8.99 per sample it's not too expensive.
But it depends on what you want to achieve. If you do not need or want
understandable speech then there is an easy way to create speech-like
soundscapes (if I remember it correctly):
1. Record a few people talking
2. Reverse the recording
3. Play the reversed recording several times at random intervals (so
they'll overlap) and record the result.
