I second the recommendation for this book.  It is by far the best web
process book I've read and has informed a lot of the work I've done on
process at my office.

I would also recommend reading the article "Good Designers Redesign,
Great Designers Realign" on A List Apart (an amazing resource if you
haven't seen it) http://www.alistapart.com/articles/redesignrealign.
