Hi Holly, and welcome!

Bill Moggridge's book "Designing for Interactions" has good stories about
how different designers solved a variety of problems. It's a big book that
touches on design issues over the last couple of decades.

Themes I get from the book include: How do you focus tightly in order to
create the exact right thing? What do breakthroughs look like and how do
they happen? How did the great shops like Xerox Parc and IDEO consistently
turn out great work? What are the roots of modern interaction design and
what can we learn from them? You get the idea. Bill's book is a provocative
"How We Came To Be Here" overview of our craft. You may find in it
somewheres that pebble in the water that expands into your paper. Hope this
