[IxDA Discuss] Prototypical

Dear IxDA Community,
I have no problem with all this arguing: my problem is that unless I have
the time to closely follow 2-3 threads of 20+ messages each, I will get
nothing out of the whole discussion.
I have seen many long threads about IxD tools & techniques: what I would
rather see is a live document (e.g. a Wiki) where people can add their views
and clarify them as discussions evolve, maintaining a neutral point of view
where there is no consensus, i.e. something like this:
"Some believe prototypes should be made of paper because paper is light,
readily available & recyclable [...]
Another opinion is that prototypes should be made of metal so that they can
withstand heavy user testing [...]
Finally, some believe that we shouldn't have prototypes at all because it's
a waste of time making them."
Let everyone present their arguments and their justification in parallel,
and I think it's up to anyone reading this to make an informed choice of how
and why to use some technique.
Thanks,
Alex
P.S. Unfortunately I didn't think of the above when I wrote my reply to the
recent IxDA survey, but I hope it can still be taken into account.
