I disagree. We're talking prototypes here. Any other means of making  
a software prototype will always lack in some significant way, in  
either it's prototyped interaction model or it's prototypes visual  
presentation. When either of those two pieces are lacking in the  
prototype, the feedback you get on what to adjust and tweak is  
significantly less valuable.
