There was some speculation a few days ago about the IxD implications
of emerging UI technologies such as neural interfaces.
Someone on another list sent along these links. Apparently there is
an open source project (Openeeg) working to develop prototyping
tools for neural interfaces both on the hardware and software front.
It will be interesting to see where this goes. It sounds like a lot
of fun, but I don't want to be the first guy to try on a "brain
interface" hacked together by a bunch of guys in their spare time
between bong hits and rounds of Halo.
