Maral -

I have run into issues around compensation for clinical and some  
corporate participants as well.  I've sometimes had the advantage of  
pulling participants from the existing user base of the product, in  
which case the hope of a more usable interface is sometimes  
compensation enough . . . ;-)  To find these enthusiasts, I'll poll  
tech support personnel to get contacts that have strong opinions on  
the current tool.  But you might also offer to make a donation in  
their name to a charity that they or their hospital/practice  
supports.  I've done both charities at the hospitals and donations  
that were appropriate for the particular time and place - donations  
to the Red Cross in a community that had a recent natural disaster,  
etc.  This kind of compensation sometimes means more cafeteria-style  
testing and less long-term involvement in iterative processes, however.
