Urgent and long term position in NYC for an Information Architect/Designer.

This position is for Immediate hire. The rate is open and market premium 
for the right resource
able to make a long term commitment. Candidates must have prior 
experience designing for
established Web 2.0 AJAX type sites/applications.

The position is emphasizing sophisticated Graphic Design; highly 
interactive.

Also, this is an Ajax Web 2.0 Application; so knowledge and experience 
with agile techniques
are required; Javascripts and DHTML are also in order.

This long term product development is in conjunction with Fortune 500 
client;
user target base of over 300.00.000.

*Location*: is highly accessible; near Penn Station in NYC, a major 
transportation hub.

Onsite and partial off site considered; but must have some onsite 
investment.

*Description*

The focus is designing for leading edge interactive AJAX web (thin 
client, rich GUI or RIA),
developing screens to help a large client and its sub-agencies manage 
critical resources
The IA will work closely with business analysts, clients, and the UI 
development team.

    * Ability to prototype screen designs in DHTML, including toolkits
      like Dojo, Scriptaculous, etc,
    * is a big plus; as well as familiarity with XML
    * DreamWeaver or similar tool exp. to mockup web pages.
    * Requirements:
    * Excellent HTML, CSS skills, and ability to prototype mockups in HTML
    * Experience with graphics applications like Photoshop, etc.
    * Fairly good JavaScript coding skills; AJAX/Web 2.0 fluency,
      knowledge and experience is required.
    * Excellent written and oral communications skills
    * Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
