[IxDA Discuss] Auto populate driving directions if you have a zipcode?

First some context. We are trying to create a product catalogue with
the ability to do in-store availability check. During the the
availability flow we ask for a zip code so we can find stores near
their zip.

If the user selects "driving direction" for a location should we
prepopulate the "from" field with the user's zip code?

It would look something like this:
-From - populated with zipcode
-To - populated with the location user chose
-Driving directions are returned.

Or should we leave the From field empty and return something like this:
-From - empty field that says (where are you from?)
-To - populated with the location user chose
-No driving directions until they enter an address or location.

I guess the main issue is, would you find it annoying to have driving
directions from a general area to a specific area or would you be
delighted with one less step to complete even if it wasn't precise?

Hope that makes some sense... Thanks for any replies
