I agree - and therein lies the rub.  We're a mobile company, and "undo"
is not always something one can pull off on mobile devices -- especially
when we're talking about "delete thing X from my handset" types of
actions, of which there are many required variations.  

So I think that using them "whenever" there's no undo, sadly, won't fly
as an axiom in this context.

The devil, as usual, is in the details....
