Hey all--

I'm thrilled to announce MX East, the second edition of our Managing
Experience Through Creative Leadership conference. The first one,
last February, sold out and was an amazing event. The second one
promises to be even better, with some new speakers, and a more
retreat-like atmosphere to encourage real community building.

This conference is for the burgeoning group of design managers,
project and product managers, and executives who find themselves
responsible for experience design. MX is not about design methods or
high-falutin' strategy, but about what it takes to actually get great
experiences out into the world.

To get a flavor of the discussions, listen to the podcasts from the
first event:

The program features some of the top speakers from the first MX (Lou
Carbone, Irene Au, Scott Berkun), and brings on a slew of new folks,
including Joshua Wesson, CEO of Best Cellars, Kim Goodwin, Creative
Director at Cooper, Khoi Vinh, design manager at The New York Times,
and more.

We just added to the program to leading speakers on the emerging
practice of service design:
   - Ryan Armbruster, SPARC Innovation Program, Mayo Clinic
   - Mark Jones, Head of Service Design Practice, IDEO

The event takes place October 22-23, just 35 minutes from the
Philadelphia International Airport, in a kind of retreat setting
called Normandy Farm.

There's also a pre-conference workshop lead by Margaret Hanley, whose
class at the IA Summit was remarkably well-received.

We're currently offering Early Bird registration, and even a complete
package that includes two night's hotel at discounted rates. And if
you use the special IxDA promotional code IXDA, you'll receive an
additional 15% off the total price.

See you in Philadelphia!
