Here I was, all set to praise you for posting a link to the
"pagination" search results page, and then you go and criticize
search. Just kidding. You're right, search could be improved quite a
bit and it's coming back to the home page in our work on the gamma
version of the site. If you (or anyone else) are interested in
devoting some energy to the search design, it'd certainly be
appreciated.

Sorry about the extremely slow page loads. I know it's particularly
bad around lunch time. I'm reasonably sure this is due to the
haphazard programming and byzantine architecture that characterize
much of the beta. Again, any help in that area would be appreciated.
Anyone with formal programming experience want to step up? 

Until then, I suggest that we manage the problem by viewing the beta
alphabetically by last name and time zone. Robert, your slot is
11:10-11:15am on T/Th. I'll post a list. :)
