UI Designer
FILTER is looking for an experienced UI designer for a long term
contract in Seattle. The position requires a highly motivated, creative
and passionate person committed to user-centered design. Our ideal
candidate has experience designing high fidelity visual experiences for
software or web applications. Formal training in interaction or
information design is preferred, however, candidates with proven
experience with user interaction design samples demonstrated through a
portfolio of work will definitely be considered. 

Responsibilities
* Hands-on design work to create interface and visual design solutions
from concept through final design (creating sketches, flows, wire
frames, detailed designs, and implementation checks) in both desktop and
web mediums
* Strategic design leadership, involving setting high-level design goals
and overall user experience direction
* Define, evangelize and evolve best practices in interaction design
* Drive communication and brand experience design that is compelling,
efficient, effective, satisfying, and innovative
* Act as consultant to other team leads and may manage internal or
external production and design resources

Requirements
* Extensive experience with user interface design and prototyping in
tools such as Photoshop, Fireworks, Flash, Visio, HTML, etc. 
* Strong creative skills and ability to generate design ideas and
strategic approach to solving problems
* Ability to understand and integrate customer needs and motivations
into specific areas of product design to contribute to user features and
functionality
* Must be familiar with industry standards and trends
* Ability to own and drive projects
* At least five years industry related experience with two to five years
of experience designing for client-side software or complex web
applications
* Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
