At the time, I was working in eBooks, for SoftBook Press (which later
became the Gemstar eBook) fantastic concept, ruined by dumbing it
down to chase the consumer market.

We had various mechanisms for moving personal content to the device
(which was shut down by Gemstar) -- I was especially interested in it
for digital comics, and am still intrigued by the Sony eInk device
which they showcase with manga -- and I was investigating the ability
to move the digital output of the pad to the eBook reader. For
whatever reason -- maybe it was at the cusp when Gemstar bought us --
I put that aside.

Today, I no longer work with the eBook so the incentive to find the
thing -- much less see if there's software to run this thing that
worked on Win 98 and Win NT -- is way down the list.
