To me there are two factors that make this impractical.  TVs and the viewer
have a larger distance between them in most living rooms.  Email sort of
requires the reader to be close to the screen.  Why not make the text
bigger? I think the second factor is security, would you feel comfortable
checking all your email with your kids running around in front of the TV?
