Job Description
The UI Writer is responsible for overseeing all content requirements,
and creating all content deliverables (content audits, gap analyses,
taxonomies, style guides, copy decks, etc.) across the project
lifecycle. Collaborating closely with the Interaction Designer and the
Visual Designer as well as people from our Creative Services group, you
will be critical to defining the content needs of the web site.

Core Responsibilities
*Establish a style guide and editorial procedures for all written
elements of the site.
*Work with Marketing and Creative Services to set guidelines for the
editorial tone, style and voice of all content.
*Develop naming conventions, instructional copy, and other interface
textual elements.
*Work with design and development team to translate requirements and
business goals into messaging, site navigation, labels and content
organization on the user interface.
*Work with project teams to plan and execute deliverables. Write
information deliverables (instructional copy, error messages, interface
copy, help copy) relevant to each project.
*Work with QA to resolve bugs related to instructional copy, error
messages, conditional copy or site help not matching copy documentation.
*Develop content strategy based on business objectives and user needs.
*Determine projects' overall content requirements and potential content
sources.
*Ensure content conforms to Search Engine Optimization best practices.


Job qualifications


Requirements:
*Thorough understanding of how to communicate effectively in a digital
environment.
*Expert level attention to detail.
*Excellent communication skills, as you will be working with Interaction
Designers, Visual Designers, Engineers, and Product Managers.
*2-4 years experience in creating/writing content for Web or other
digital media.
*Degree in related field, such as English, journalism, technical
writing, or library science.
*Advanced proficiency in the MS Office Suite, and working knowledge of
design tools such as Visio.
