Hi Everyone,
I'm shopping for a conference that will inspire me as a designer. But the
list of the usual UX standbys feels like it's focused on research methods
and tools rather than the actual craft of design. Granted, the best part of
*any* conference I've attended has been the networking, but this year I want
to be immersed in the design portion of what we do.
Ideas?
Here's a list of links to UX-y Conference programs I considered. It's too
late for me to plan for SXSW, and the program for Connecting '07 is too
vague at this point for me to make a decision. But those two are the closest
contenders. I also included links to help out fellow conference hunters.
ACM CHI:

IA Summit:

UPA:

SXSW

Connecting '07 (IDSA/ICSD)

IDEA 2007? IDEA Awards? (Mentioned earlier on the list, they have an IxD
category now, with a required research component for all categories-- anyone
know if there's any connection between this and Connecting '07?)
Thanks,
- Nasir
