[IxDA Discuss] What do you love the most?

Joseph,
You pretty much stole the key-presses from my keyboard :)

This is my answer too.

What I additionally love is that by working in the zone over time, my understanding of the world around me evolves to simplify it to the point where (I believe) I'm able to run at high efficiency right away. I can elaborate if this sounds cryptic (and if anyone's interested in reading that), but basically I'm able to own any 'brain-gain' from solving IxD problems and find that they are all applicable in non-work life. So working in this field is sort of like working on self-improvement!

I would have to say that what I love the most are the solitary moments of
creativity. When I have enough uninterrupted time to think deeply about a
particular design puzzle and I am able to break through all the usual
solutions to create something unique. I am pleased that I create something
unique but I am more pleased by the feeling and awareness I have when I am
in the "zone".

Almost poles apart from being in the zone in uninterrupted solitude, what I
love the most is facilitating design sessions, with my team and with my
clients team, and having those moments when the client team really "gets"
UCD, its importance to their company and customers -- new evangelists are
born!

Ooh - whiteboard sessions! I love whiteboard sessions (specifically).
Nothin' like grabbing a marker and designing whole interfaces in under an
hour with some trusted colleagues.
