[IxDA Discuss] CHI2008 Call for Content and Reviewers

First - I love Florence.

Second - has anyone noticed in the list of people on the organizing
committee that the 2 conference chairs are Microsoft?

How do people feel about how heavily the conference organizing committee is
mostly (over 90%) weighted towards academics, not practitioners....

I know there is always this interesting tension between thinkers and
workers, between theory and practice. Perhaps as a practitioner, I just wish
more praxis was represented on the committee.

Thoughts?

Am I being to sensitive? Have people who have attended CHI in the past felt
this way as well?
