We've done some javascript logging similar to that on a pretty complex ajax
app. We kept the log in the page's session, and on error emailed it to a
developer during beta testing, it needed a lot of work but the concept was
pretty sturdy. We chose not to log everything to the server because it was
too difficult to wade through all of the details when the error we were
looking for was only for a single page for a single user.
