[IxDA Discuss] Excellent Portfolios for IxDs

If IAs and IxDs and all the rest of us can't agree exactly on what our
titles should be and what they mean, you can sure as hell bet that
recruiters don't get it either.  

As a hiring manager, my approach is: portfolios are great, but you'd
better be able to explain your work and sell me as to why your approach
works.

I just had a hand in hiring someone (junior) who didn't have a
portfolio, but I got him to whiteboard out one of his projects and
explain it to me in the interview.  Then again he already had a foot in
the door through other means so if you aren't already working there,
you'll generally lose out to the people who do have good portfolios.
