[IxDA Discuss] What I DID learn in Design School

I studied fine arts (painting and sculpture), not design, but I think the
lessons and strategies are the same (probably even a little more
exaggerated). 

Here's my favorite advice from my freshman painting professor: 

"If there is one little part of your painting that you think works
perfectly, but you're desperately struggling to resolve the rest, paint over
that one part."

Think about that advice in terms of a navigation scheme or a complex RIA,
and you'll see the wisdom in it.
