JOB DESCRIPTION:

UA manager ready to roll up your sleeves and contribute in a new way? 

Intuit QuickBooks seeks an experienced User Assistance Lead and it could

be you! This full-time hire will be responsible for leading UI text 
writing, editing, and review efforts for various products and services 
produced within the QuickBooks division of Intuit. Will involve feature 
and design brainstorming/reviews with Product and Initiative Managers, 
Design, Usability, and Development as well as editorial coordination 
with other UA personnel. An IC role with writing, leadership, 
evangelism, and significant scope of influence duties. 

Role requirements:

Demonstrated excellence in communication, organizational, and 
interpersonal skills. 

Independence, drive for results, creativity, and strategic thinking. 

Demonstrated writing skills with a focus on insight, brevity, accuracy, 
quality, clarity. 

Experience researching user needs, support feedback, technical reviews; 
experience writing voice over scripts and contributing to tours, 
tutorials, and prototypes a plus. 

Ability to define appropriate style and voice for User Assistance text, 
particularly UI text for small business environments; ability to set 
and/or follow other editorial and style standards. 

Ability to ensure seamless UA integration with all aspects of the 
product development cycle. 

Good understanding of technical development and Help authoring tools and

User Assistance development processes. 


Successful candidate will have 3 to 5 years software User 
Assistance/Education experience, 8 plus years technical and consumer 
writing and editing experience, 3 to 5 years UI text writing experience 
for major applications, familiarity with Help and User Assistance 
technical and editorial guidelines 

A Technical Communications, Writing, Computer Science, or equivalent 
degree
