[IxDA Discuss] Am I a Unicorn?

Dan, I wish you the best of luck!
And if you do manage to use your IxD skills to actually improve your work as
a developer, you will have my deepest respect.

I, for one, worked on a 2-month software project this summer, in an
environment like the ones described here (I was the only 'junior developer';
there were 3 other senior developers).
On the first day I was busy brainstorming and considering the best solutions
for the user, but on the second day I just forgot about it and started
coding: I had a deadline to make!

I had known this before, but I had a chance to really prove it to myself:
there is a strong conflict of interests in doing these 2 jobs, Designer and
Developer, at the same time. Personally, in those circumstances, I couldn't
manage to put my IxD knowledge to good use (although being in the skin of a
developer was a good experiment). I really hope you will be able to. You
probably have a different context and more time available.

If not, maybe you could consider moving :)
