[IxDA Discuss] Factors influencing the resizing of browser windows (was re: browser window size stats/studies)

The browser window size discussion has highlighted a couple of factors that
may influence a user's choice of window size:

1) Difficulty/ease of manipulating windows in each OS.
2) User's overall task sequence.

I suspect there are a few others:

3) Task location - Are users more likely to resize/maximize a window if they
are engaged in a task that is off-center or near the edge of the browser
viewport?

4) Content type (text vs. images) - Do users resize/maximize more often when
text is the content?  When an image is the content?

5) Perceived content width - Do users resize/maximize more often when the
content seems to be slightly wider than the viewport?  What about when it
seems to be significantly wider then the viewport?

6) Perceived content height - Do users resize/maximize more often when the
content seems to be slightly taller than the viewport?  What about when it
seems to be significantly taller then the viewport?

Examining the influence of these (or other factors) could make for an
interesting Human Factors/HCI experiment.  Anyone capturing the
window.onresize event and the URLs where it's observed?
