I would try here:

I'd also recommend taking a look at Barbara Ballard's accompanying book. I bought a copy but haven't had time to take a look at it.
I don't know of anything specific to gps navigational software.
For mobile web, I'd take a look at the W3C Mobile Web best practices:
http://www.w3.org/TR/mobile-bp/
I'm also finding that if you are doing design for J2ME apps, it's good to read a J2ME development book just to get an overview of the technologies involved, an understanding of how the UI is engineered and the types of apps that are being developed.
On the whole I'm finding that designing for mobile client apps is much different than the mobile web. On the whole, I am not overly impressed with the usability J2ME apps and games that I am seeing in the market for the mass market phones. There's a lot of usability issues with the selection methods across devices. There's also navigation issues. My theory is that developers are actually designing a lot of the mobile apps and games, not UX designers. Also, I think that MIDP 2.0 is somewhat limited in what it can do. Hopefully MIDP 3.0 will change some of that.

Hello everyone:
Does anyone know of a site where I might access some recent Mobile UI
guidelines? I am especially interested in anything available for
navigational software (GPS).
Thanks for your help!
