IA - New York City | 40-80k (D.O.E.)

My Downtown, NYC client is a media company that creates and manages some
of the most popular youth-oriented sites online. 

The IA will work in a fast-paced environment to define and write product
requirements and produce standard information architecture documentation
including, but not limited to:

* User Task Analysis 
* Site Map 
* Navigation System employing usable nomenclature and taxonomy 
* Process Flows (i.e. registration etc.) 
* Page Schematics 
* Communicate and negotiate user-centered principles within a project
team. 

Job Requirements
- College or graduate degree in Human-Computer Interaction or related
field.
- Produce deliverables quickly in Adobe Illustrator. 
- 1+ year(s) current IA and usability design experience, preferably for
Web 2.0 or online community applications. 
- Be able to work simultaneously on multiple tasks while dealing with
changing priority and criticality. 
- Hands on experience with HTML and CSS. 
- Strong planning and tracking abilities, close attention to detail,
problem-solving skills, and an ability to effectively prioritize and
meet deadlines with the highest of quality. 
- Work well independently and as part of a team with technical and
non-technical teams alike. 
- Effectively and pleasantly communicate in written documentation and in
meetings; Work and play well with others.

o General familiarity with DOM API, X/HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX. 
o Familiar with Web 2.0 concepts. 
o Working knowledge developing cross-browser (IE, Firefox, Safari,
Opera, etc.) dynamic web applications. 
o Understanding of current the technologies and best practices that
comprise a web project development cycle.
