[IxDA Discuss] Common design mistakes?

Hi, all.

 From my own experience as a cranked novice designer, I'd like to add  
one;

- Try to unnecessarily reinvent the generic GUI controls such as  
checkbox, radio button, dropdown menu, listbox, text box, push  
button, slider, spin button, scrollbar, tab, window, and behaviors of  
those common elements. Novice designers often do that because they  
believe "design" means something strange.
