Hello. I apologize as this is may be more of a project management
question.
We are near the beginning of an interface design project with an Asian
based client. All of the client representatives; designers, developers,
marketing, you name it is based in Asia. Given cuts in travel budget
actual face time will be minimal. We recognize that time and language
differences will make communication and issue/ question tracking a
challenge.
So, I am looking for a online issue/question tracking tool. Similar to
bugtracking, but for open interaction design questions/ discussions.
Basically it allows a team member to post an open question, such as
"Should the remote control have a Back instead of an Exit button?"
which opens an online discussion thread. The thread continues back and
forth with the client team until the question is closed. One could
possibly attach a document/ image to a thread as well. It also needs to
be secure Very simple. No need for video conferencing, shared
calendars, contacts, and their ilk.
I am positive there must be some off-the-shelf software that serves
this purpose at a low cost, with minimal overhead, and all in a simple
user-friendly shell?
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Chad
